Spiritual Life

At First Baptist Christian School, spiritual life is a part of who we are and everything we do from academics and athletics to chapel. We desire to guide our students towards spiritual maturity and to inspire their faith by teaching biblical worldview, reaching the heart, and raising up student leaders who will impact their community for Jesus Christ.

Class Service Learning

Each class has a service learning project benefitting our community. (i.e. CareNet, Molly’s House, Lahia, Hope Center for Autism, Thanksgiving/Christmas baskets for the needy in our community)  Service learning is mission-minded, cross curriculum and inspires student leaders to impact their community for Jesus Christ.

Chapel

Students attend chapel once a week. Lower chapel (K-4) is scheduled every Friday and Upper Chapel (5-12) is scheduled every Wednesday.  Parents are encouraged to attend weekly chapel.

GAP groups (Upper Grades)

GAP (GROWTH, ACCOUNTABILITY, and PRAYER) groups meet monthly with their mentor in place of chapel. GAP is a small group that motivates spiritual growth, accountability, and prayer.

Each GAP group is organized by grade and is gender specific with an assigned leader of the same gender. This allows each GAP group to build a safe setting for students to dig deeper into the Word of God.  GAP builds trust with an adult in order to develop a Biblical Worldview and apply Scripture to real life circumstances.

Fruit of the Spirit Awards (Lower Grades)

Students in grades K-4 are awarded Student of the Month recognition during Weekly Chapel. The awards are based on the biblical fruits, or characteristics, of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Students who demonstrate these fruits are awarded during a special ceremony at Chapel.

First Baptist Church of Stuart Ministry

FBCS is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Stuart and students and families are invited to attend our weekly activities. Activities include: Wednesday night Awanas, Reborn Youth Ministry, family supper, and prayer meeting and Sunday services.

Reborn Youth Ministry (6-12)

The Youth Ministry of First Baptist Stuart is designed to help youth draw closer to Jesus as their Lord, and to equip and empower them to share Jesus with their closest friends.

We want students in the Treasure Coast to dive into a relationship with Jesus and learn to live a full and abundant life FAITHFUL unto HIM.  We have many different ministry options designed to help students grow in their walk with Christ.

The youth group meets regularly on Sunday mornings at 9:00am and Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm. In addition, there are numerous youth events, Bible studies, summer camp, as well as opportunities to minister to others throughout the year.

Awana Ministry

Children ages 4 yrs. old through 6th grade will love the warm and loving environment of Awana at FBC Stuart. Family dinner starts at 5:00pm and Awana starts promptly at 5:45pm. Children are picked up at 7:15pm. Please see www.awana.org for more details on this amazing scripture-based program.

2 Timothy 2:15 "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."
